About Us

A Single Impact (ASI) was created by several women who noticed a need for resources and advocacy for singles of all ages in their local community. Singles frequently have not felt supported by the local shuls and organizations, and the Covid-19 pandemic only emphasized the disconnect between the community and its local singles. The mission of the organization is to provide support, resources, and advocacy for singles in the frum community. The goal is to ensure that singles are thought of as part of the community; as individuals with unique talents to offer and valuable ideas to share. In the short time A Single Impact has connected with community members and local rabbanim to raise awareness and devise solutions.

Since our start in 2020, we’ve provided singles with mishloach manos gifts, as well as almost 150 Pesach packages, so that singles feel acknowledged and appreciated. We’ve coordinated volunteer host families so that singles can form new connections with community members for Shabbos and Yomim Tovim, and have organized several ways for singles to have their own space to connect with each other in a low stress, low key environment. We have partnered with multiple Baltimore shuls to advocate for singles’ needs including reserving seats for the Yomim Noraim for singles who have not yet found their kehilla. We have dedicated shadchanim who work with our singles and our international database for those ready for marriage.

We hope that our efforts will bring a positive change to the greater Jewish community.
